La Colombe makes amazing coffee, and has a stunning visual identity. I attempted to recreate this aesthetic.

Ever since I worked at a Coffee Shop back in 2019, I've been obsessed with Coffee and its surrounding culture and aesthetic. My family and I drink Philadelphia-based La Colombe's coffee everyday. With my connection to this company, I thought I'd make use of my new knowledge of Studio Photography to create Product Advertisements.
Inspiration
Before I began this photoshoot, it was crucial that I looked over current La Colombe photography so I can match its aesthetic–every company needs a consistent brand, if you create graphics and photography that don't stick with the brand, the work is useless.
On Linkedin, I tracked down the manager of Photography at La Colombe, Alexander Mansour. Looking through his beautifully done work, I took observations on Lighting Technique, Composition, Colors, and more.
Less is more with La Colombe
From my observations, I categorized the La Columbe aesthetic as minimalist. Everything is simple, yet meticulously constructed to be a perfectly captured photograph. Even the lighting setup was simple, to reach a specular reflection on the top of the cans, only one barn-door light was needed. This also gave the image a rapid shadow transfer. I added added a fill light to decrease the shadow contrast.
Conclusion
After this shoot, I was happy with my work in successfully creating La Colombe Advertisements, yet I am not satisfied. To get even closer to the La Colombe brand, I must add more context to the images–this includes mugs, plants, window lights, and much more. Looking to the future, I will attempt to pursue this further in creating professionally made photographs.
